Breakfast Hotdog Sandwich

There are days when you have too little time to prepare food before heading out. There are days when you are lazy to make complex meals. There are also days that you simply want a hotdog sandwich.


Here's how to make a gourmet hotdog sandwich in an instant:


Ingredients

  • King's Hawaiian Dinner Rolls, sliced on the crown (2 rolls : 1 hotdog)

  • Lightlife Smart Dogs or any type of preferred hotdog/sausage

  • Organic Egg + salt

  • Bell pepper, thinly sliced

  • Sweet onions, thinly sliced

  • Olive oil

  • Dijon mustard (optional)

  • Sriracha (optional) Directions 1. In a hot grill or pan, saute bell pepper and onions in about 1 tbsp of oil until slightly charred. Set aside. 2. If you are using a grill, use the other end to cook the hotdog and egg (sunny side up). Otherwise, use a separate pan to fry the hotdog and egg. Set aside. 3. Toast the dinner rolls in a grill or in an oven toaster. To Assemble 1. Slice the dinner rolls on the crown about 2/3 deep. 2. Spread dijon mustard on the sides of the sliced rolls. (optional) 3. Lay the egg in between the sliced rolls and then add the hotdog. 4. Top the hotdog sandwich with grilled peppers and onion. 5. Drizzle some sriracha on top to give it a little spice.
